Liberty AC is the past, the present, and the future of running for women.

Liberty Athletic Club is one of the first all-female athletic clubs in the country. Before Title IX, women and girls had limited athletic options. In 1948, Liberty AC was established to provide new athletic opportunities for women and girls, primarily via running. To this day, Liberty AC is dedicated to helping women cultivate lifelong health and fitness, in community. Liberty AC is open to women of all ages and abilities – whether you are a beginner or a world-class athlete.

As every runner knows, running is about more than just putting one foot in front of the other; it’s about our lifestyle and who we are.

Statement from the Liberty Athletic Club Board: Liberty is a community of women committed to inclusive athleticism, compassion, and fairness. We are deeply disturbed to learn of the behavior that led to SafeSport’s investigation and findings of sexual misconduct by John Babington. We acknowledge the extraordinary strength it takes to share the pain associated with sexual misconduct, including assault. Liberty’s current board and membership want Lynn Jennings, Darlene Beckford Pearson, and others who suffered similar abuse to know that we stand with them and will do whatever we can to support their healing and justice.
